Beyond the Milk 31: Vengeance is Mine?
February 12th, 2009
As Christians, how do we take God’s vengeance? Are we ever allowed to be the deliverer of His vengeance? I have so much rage inside of me! Is it God?

a few thoughts/ questions…
1.) If we are under the new covenant how can anyone use the old covenant as a point of reference for what we should be doing?
2.) I believe the old covenant is essential to our growth and knowledge of god but fail to see why everyone consults that when Jesus came and changed ALL of that.
3.) Speaking of Jesus, He is the reason why we call ourselves Christians, so why aren’t we looking at what he said about vengeance? I mean, it seems logical to me.
4.) What about the early Church? They saw persecution and were martyred on a daily basis. What did they do? If anyone would be justified in exacting God’s vengeance I would think it would have been them.
5.) My last comment. The remark about going to your enemies with pie was ludicrous. That is the same as saying God can not/ will not work on our enemies through love. Just because someone kills doesn’t mean they are not able to give and receive love. Seriously, that was grossly inappropriate.
